Bead was designed to look both iconic and fashion-forward. Its pattern creates a rich contrast between positive and negative space– each tile unique and random, dependent on the amount of the design element in the individual tile. “Completely Charmed” by Karastan Contract One of six products in Karastan Contract’s Covet collection, Completely Charmed is a lush commercial 32oz carpet tile inspired by runway fashion and its influence on interior fashion. Combining long space dyed and bright skein yarn, Completely Charmed is made entirely from Ultron Nylon 6,6 fiber. “Riviera” by Constantine Commercial One of four products in Constantine Commercial’s collection by the same name, Riviera has a luxurious look and feel, creating an ambience of beauty and excitement. Riviera, made from Ultron Nylon 6,6, features a classic dot pattern that gives it both scale and color definition. The coordinating colors in the collection are related compositions of color and geometry on backgrounds of subtle stripes “Weathered Steel” by J & J/ Invision Weathered Steel is one of three products in J&J/ Invision’s Altered Elements collection for which inspiration was found in nature. Each product in the collection captures the interplay between the elements and the wonder and drama that Mother Nature creates on a daily basis. Using Ultron® nylon 6,6 the patterned cut and loop 33 oz. product is both bold when strongly contrasting colors are used, and elegantly subtle when less contrasting neutrals are used. “Galaxy” by Fortune Contract This 36 oz. product evokes a modern, edgy feel with a subtle striated effect. Made with Ultron® nylon 6,6 the linear pattern in this product is a stylish choice for a variety of applications and is available in both broadloom and tile, and in thirteen standard color ways. “Graffiti” by Mannington Commercial Inspired by classic 60’s icons such as Nigel Weymouth this stylized pattern combines both circular and organic linear shapes to create a sophisticated modern interpretation of psychedelic pop art. In 14 colors this 26 oz. product will be useful in any number of applications. “Hypnotizing” by Karastan Contract The source of inspiration for this collection was the constant stream of energy found on today’s fashion runways, articulated with fluid but dynamic colors. There is lively motion through the constant flow of one color moving into the next. This product is both broadloom and tile with a tight surface and high yarn definition. 2006 Doc Product Winners “Even Keel” by Bentley Prince Street Inspired by rustic Americana, where simplicity of folk art and depth of personal conviction is reflected in all forms of design, the product uses horizontal bars to break the vertical rows creating a rhythm of warmth and comfort in their movement. This 26 oz. product in 12 colorways reflects the organic, rich hues seen in nature by the first American artisans. Even Keel's comfortable texture and classic colors will be appreciated in the professional, hospitality, and public space environment," noted the judges. “Ribbons” by Constantine Commercial This product creates the tailored effect of a large scale woven surface through both three dimensional surface changes and a graphic approach to color combinations. Ribbons is created by combining Ultron nylon 6,6 fiber with Constantine's patented Precision Loc technology for tight, woven-like tufts. The color line consists of elegant neutrals, with playful second color compliments. The judges were most impressed by the dimensional effect of woven ribbons on the surface of this 32 oz. product. “Brilliant and Bright Idea” by J&J/Invision With a hint of glitz and glamour, these products bring two traditional patterns to life. Using Ascend's Prismatic fiber, these tonal cut and loop classics have an added flair on the floors. Both products set the standard for timeless commercial interiors with tailored sophistication. Available in 32 quintessential colors, the judges said, "These products represent simplicity at its best." “Fluidity” by Karastan Contract Part of the Poetry in Motion Collection, this woven product was inspired by movement, with a capital "M!" The product has the illusion of gentle motion through the use of a long-space dye, which provides a constant flow of changing color. The color line is subtle but rich, with each yarn coloration created specifically for this project.
